As a painter and sculptor from early childhood, and growing up the son of a successful interior designer, Rory Volk was exposed to design principals at a very young age. Since then, his highly developed aesthetic and keen eye for color and light has informed both his bold and graphic expressionist art and his elegant and fanciful interior design. His interest in interior design as a reflection of the people who live and interact in interior spaces led him to pursue a degree in Psychology with a focus in Fine Arts. He was awarded his B.S. in Psychology from St. Mary's College, and went on to begin his career in interior design.

Rory combines his love of art with his understanding of how interior spaces influence human interaction and mood to create designs that are both beautiful and practical, each tailored to reflect the personalities and needs of the clients who will be living and working there. His interior designs are lush and layered, making use of color, texture, and proportion to create inviting spaces that people will enjoy spending time in. Whether he is designing an elegant living space in a high end residential home, or creating a quirky and whimsical party space in an artist's industrial loft, this Bay Area designer approaches each interior as a living, breathing environment. They are as dynamic as the people who will gather there, and his playful and tasteful design aesthetic infuse his interiors with a sensibility that is fanciful and fun, yet always elegant and functional.
